As time flies by very quickly, we already completed the 3rd On-the-spot peer review week in Agro-Food sector, which took place between 23rd and 27th of March 2012. Pomurje Technology Park organized this week in Slovenia on two locations, Ljubljana and Murska Sobota. This occurs due to specific situation of regional structures of Slovenia. As peers we were hosting Sara Dell’Elce and Carlo Pignatari from CNA-Innovazione, Italy and Rita Temesvari (STRIA) and external expert Andras Kremer (Pick Szeged), both from Hungary.

The week was pretty short, but the peers met a lot of different stakeholders from Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food level to regional SME’s, just to get insights to the strengths and weaknesses of Slovenia as well as of Pomurje statistical region´s sectoral innovation.  The other interviewees were representatives of the University of Ljubljana / Biotechnical Faculty, Chamber of Agriculture and food companies, Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia, Public Agency for Technology of Republic of Slovenia,  Regional Development Agency Mura, Regional Pomurje Chamber of Commerce, regional Institute of Agriculture and Forestry, Pomurje Technology Park and companies Pekarna Pečjak, Šunkarna Kodila, Pribinovina d.o.o., Keter Group and last but not least dairy company Pomurske mlekarne.
